Today we cycled from the Angler’s Roost RV Park in Hamilton to Kreis Pond Campground between Missoula and Superior. We had clouds and sun all day. A little bit of rain when riding out of Missoula. We had a lot of paved roads, but ended the day on gravel.

Waking up in the morning with a wet tent from the rain the night before. Nothing new, sometimes the tent is wet from damp, now from rain. It will dry later today hopefully. We left the RV Park to ride 4km to Hamilton to do some grocery shopping for the morning. From the moment we left the RV Park, we could ride on a bike path. Not always implemented T it’s best, but at least there was one. In fact, we could use it all the way to Missoula, and a little after. However, sometimes it just stopped for a while, or continued at the other side of the road. The morning we ‘t by quickly and we made a lot of progress. We arrived in Missoula around noon and already had about 80km done.

In Missoula we stopped at the Walmart to get groceries for the rest of today, and tomorrow. We hope to reach Superior tomorrow afternoon. We also ate lunch at a bench outside the Walmart and had some conversations with people that walked by.

After lunch, we continued, first to French town, where we had a snack and drink at a gas station, and then to Huson where we went back into the mountains.

It was already late afternoon and we needed to find a place to sleep. That meant public land or a campground. Public land wasn’t very easy, but a campground was 7km off route. We went inside a Ranger Station to see if there was an alternative, but the campground was our best option. We decided to go for that one. Of course, the 7km was uphill. But when arriving at the campground, it looked very nice for spending a night.
